About Sabre Springs

A true surfer’s paradise, Encinitas has established itself as one of the most desirable coastal zip codes in San Diego County. Encompassing six miles of gorgeous California coastline, Encinitas is a vibrant community with many wonderful amenities and resources along with picturesque beaches and world-famous surf spots.

Encinitas is comprised of four neighborhoods. Leucadia, the northernmost part of coastal Encinitas. Old Encinitas, which is the downtown area along Highway 101 and Swami’s Beach. Olivenhain, the city’s historic rural heart. And New Encinitas, which includes the homes along the El Camino Real corridor. Each micro community offers a bit of a different flavor and lifestyle.

The city of Encinitas got its start way back in 1881. The name “Encinitas” is Spanish for “little oaks.” Many historic landmarks still stand in Encinitas today including the Olivenhain Meeting Hall (built in 1894), the first one room school house in Encinitas (built in 1883), the Santa Fe Railroad Station (now Pannikin Coffee and Tea), La Paloma Theatre (opened in 1928), and the Self-Realization Fellowship Gardens (built in 1937). Encinitas was incorporated in 1986 and has continued to grow into the thriving San Diego neighborhood we see today.

Del Mar Lifestyle

Life is better at the beach! For those that can afford it, the ability to live the quintessential Southern California beach lifestyle is one of the many things that draws people to Del Mar. You can wake up, catch a few waves, shower, and be out the door for work. In the evening, a stroll through the Del Mar village or along the sand is the perfect way to unwind.

The county’s biggest attractions all land at the nearby racetrack including the annual San Diego Fair. The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club meets twice a year, in the summer and the fall, at the place where the “turf meets the surf.” In addition, numerous fairs, festivals, and sporting events visit the track facility as well. The Del Mar Village also hosts several iconic events including the Powerhouse Park Summer Concert series, the Del Mar Summer Solstice event, the Taste of Del Mar, and an array of holiday celebrations.

Love to get outside? The iconic Torrey Pines State Reserve offers challenging trails and beautiful views of the rugged San Diego coast, not to mention the rare Torrey Pine.
