Hi Barbie! 💅✨

Just when we thought San Diego couldn’t get any more iconic, the Malibu Barbie Café is rolling into town — literally. This immersive pop-up restaurant and roller rink combo opens July 11 at the Bayside Kitchen and Bar, perfectly timed with the buzz of San Diego Comic-Con.

Fresh off viral success in New York, Chicago, Austin, and beyond, the café is a collaboration between Mattel and Bucket Listers — and it’s bringing a whole lot of pink, nostalgia, and good vibes to America's Finest City.

What to Expect:

🌴 A 1970s Malibu Dreamworld
From bright beachy décor to retro-glam photo ops (yes, you can pose inside a life-size Barbie doll box), the entire space channels that groovy vintage Barbie energy. Whether you’re five or fifty, the experience is pure magic.

🍔 Barbie-Approved Bites
Created by Master Chef finalist and Chopped Champion Becky Brown, the menu features Cali-inspired comfort food — think burgers, fries, cupcakes in Barbie boats, and Jarritos served in mini pink Corvettes. Yes please.

🛼 Barbie x Impala Roller Rink
Grab your skates! With a $1 donation (benefiting the American Red Cross' wildfire relief efforts), you can glide through a Barbie-themed skate zone — including 21+ skate nights for the grown-up dolls and Kens out there.

🎨 Special Events
Throughout the summer, look out for themed cupcake decorating classes, paint parties, and other surprises. Whether you’re planning a girls’ night, a family day, or a Comic-Con detour, this pop-up is a must-visit.
